Varni Dev built Money Manager as a free Android application. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
This policy is effective and was last updated on 2026-09-14.
Financial and App Data
Money Manager lets you enter and manage financial information such as transactions, income and expenses, amounts, balances, accounts, categories, budgets, scheduled transactions, notes or descriptions, preferences, and an optional profile name. This information is stored locally on your device in the app's private storage and is used to provide the app's money-management features.
Receipt images and other attachments that you choose to add are copied to the app's private storage on your device. Money Manager does not upload your financial records, notes, account or category names, balances, transaction amounts, or attachments to Firebase Analytics.
Analytics Currently Used
The current version uses Google Analytics for Firebase to help us understand app usage and improve reliability and usability. Analytics may process app interactions and screen views, app and device information, language and currency settings, an app-instance identifier, session information, and approximate location derived by Google from an Internet Protocol address. Varni Dev does not send the contents of your financial records or attachments as analytics events.
You can control future analytics collection using the Share usage analytics setting in the app. Information already transmitted may be retained and deleted according to Google's applicable retention practices.

Planned Services Not Currently Active
Money Manager does not currently use Google AdMob or Firebase Crashlytics. Collection of the Android Advertising ID is currently disabled. These capabilities are retained for possible use in a future released version but are not active in the version covered by this policy.
If a future release activates AdMob, Crashlytics, or Advertising ID access, we will update this Privacy Policy and the app's Google Play Data Safety declaration before or when that release becomes available. Where required, we will also provide appropriate notice, consent choices, and advertising controls.

Backups and Exports
You may create a manual backup and choose where to save it. Manual backups can be protected with a passphrase. A manual backup created without a passphrase is an unencrypted database file.
If you enable automatic backups, the app writes unencrypted backup files to the folder you select through Android's document picker. That destination may be local storage or a folder managed by a cloud-storage provider. A provider selected by you may process the backup under its own privacy policy. You are responsible for protecting and deleting exported backup files.
Android system cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for Money Manager's private app data. Removing the app or resetting its content does not automatically delete backup files previously exported outside the app's private storage.
Security and App Lock
Money Manager uses Android private app storage and commercially reasonable safeguards. If you create an app PIN, the app stores a salted cryptographic hash rather than the PIN itself. Biometric authentication is handled locally through Android's biometric services; Varni Dev does not receive or store your biometric data.
No electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure. Unencrypted exported and automatic backups should be stored only in a location you trust.
Permissions and Device Features
- Notifications are used for reminders and scheduled transaction alerts.
- Biometric or fingerprint access is used only when you enable biometric app unlocking.
- Document and folder access is used when you select attachments or a backup destination.
- Internet and network access are used for active Firebase Analytics services.
- Background, alarm, and device-start capabilities support scheduled reminders and automatic backups.
Data Sharing
Varni Dev does not sell your financial information. Local financial data is not shared with third parties unless you choose to export or back it up to a location or provider outside the app. Limited analytics information is processed by Google as described above to provide analytics services.
Retention and Deletion
Your locally stored information remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, reset the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Reset Content removes financial records and app-managed attachments while retaining settings. Complete Reset removes financial records, attachments, and app preferences and cancels configured background work.
Backups and exports saved outside the app remain until you delete them from their destination. Analytics information already processed by Google is subject to Google's retention and deletion practices.
Children's Privacy
Money Manager is not directed to children under 13, and Varni Dev does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can review the matter.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its services, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date.
